Explorations in Art
Get in your time machine and take a journey through history. Young artists in this class will experience history through the artist’s eyes. In this session we will explore the art made to celebrate the Greek Gods. We will also study the mysteries of ancient Rome and gain an understanding of the whys and how’s of the Roman artist’s creations. We will travel back in time to the Middle ages and learn about the power of the scary silly Gargoyles and why tales of Dragons sparked the imaginations of the people in the lands.Young artists will have an opportunity to work with a variety of mediums while creating sculptures, paintings and drawings of their own.
